37 Supercars races to take place across 14 rounds in 2026
Debut season for Toyota GR Supra, first event in Christchurch among highlights
2026 Supercars season begins February 20-22 at Sydney 500
Supercars has announced the race formats for the 2026 Repco Supercars Championship, which will feature an expanded 14-event calendar spanning across Australasia.
There will be 37 individual Supercars races in 2026, with events in every Australian state, plus the Northern Territory, and for the first time ever, New Zealand’s North and South Islands.
Next year will also see the highly-anticipated debut of the Toyota GR Supra, which will make its competitive debut with Walkinshaw Andretti United and Brad Jones Racing fielding a total of five Supras in 2026.
The season will continue with the entertaining three-phase structure introduced in 2025: the Repco Sprint Cup, Ryco Enduro Cup, and the dramatic Repco Finals Series, which has proven a popular addition to the championship.
Repco Sprint Cup
Sydney, Melbourne, Taupō, Christchurch, Tasmania, Darwin, Townsville, Perth, Ipswich

The opening phase of the season will feature nine Repco Sprint Cup rounds, kicking off at Sydney Motorsport Park with the Sydney 500 on February 20-22.
Highlights of the Sprint Cup include the first-ever ITM New Zealand Double Header, with Supercars racing at Taupō International Raceway and, for the first time, on the South Island at Ruapuna Raceway in Christchurch.
The betr Darwin Triple Crown will also introduce a Friday race, creating three days of racing action for fans.
Supercars’ appearance at the Australian Grand Prix will retain its now customary and typically wild four sprint races across the event’s four days.
The Super440 format returns in 2026 with two 120-kilometre races on Saturday and one 200-kilometre race on Sunday. Events at Taupō, Christchurch, Tasmania, Perth, and Ipswich will all use the Super440 format.
Events in Sydney and Townsville will continue the 500 format which includes racing on all three days of the event, which the Darwin event also adopts for 2026.
At the conclusion of the Sprint Cup, the driver atop the championship standings will be crowned Sprint Cup winner and gain automatic entry into the Finals Series.
Ryco Enduro Cup
The Bend, Bathurst

Supercars’ longest and most gruelling races make up the Ryco Enduro Cup, which returns in 2026 and drivers will pair up to tame the long-distance contests.
The AirTouch 500 at The Bend Motorsport Park opens the Enduro Cup, with the second running of the 500-kilometre enduro to take place September 11-13 at the South Australian venue.
The iconic Repco Bathurst 1000 follows from October 8-11, where new Kings of the Mountain will be crowned.
Like the Sprint Cup, the Enduro Cup winner will also secure a guaranteed Finals berth as well as bonus points for the first round of the Finals.
The Finals
Gold Coast, Sandown, Adelaide

The Finals format, introduced in 2025 to much fanfare and drama, returns to deliver a thrilling conclusion to the 2026 Supercars season.
The top 10 drivers in the standings following the Bathurst 1000 will battle for the championship across three high-stakes events at the Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500, Penrite Oil Sandown 500, and bp Adelaide Grand Final.
As in 2025, the lowest three Finalists will be eliminated following each Finals round, seeing seven Finalists advance to Sandown and four to the Grand Final in Adelaide.
Points will reset at each Finals round, ensuring every race counts.
The Gold Coast and Sandown events continue with their two 250-kilometre races as seen in 2025, while the Adelaide Grand Final will again host three races: one on Friday (100km), one on Saturday (250km), and the final 250km showdown on Sunday.
With the entire 24-car field competing in every race, there remains the chance for non-Finalists to play a role in the outcome of the Championship, as has already been seen in 2025.
“The drama and excitement we have witnessed in 2025 has set a new benchmark for the Repco Supercars Championship, and 2026 will take that to another level,” said Supercars Chief Executive James Warburton.
“With an expanded calendar, the first-ever New Zealand doubleheader, and our debut on the South Island in Christchurch, fans can expect world-class, door-to-door racing at every turn.
“We are also looking forward to welcoming the Toyota GR Supra to the grid, adding another layer of intrigue to an already fiercely contested grid. We are committed to delivering a Championship that keeps fans on the edge of their seats from Sydney in February to the Adelaide Grand Final in December.”
