Kai Allen, Jack Le Brocq disqualified from Sandown practice
Le Brocq's Camaro had wrong drop gear ratio fitted for Practice 1
Allen's Ford has right rear tyre below minimum tyre pressure
Kai Allen and Jack Le Brocq have been disqualified from Friday practice sessions at the Penrite Oil Sandown 500.
Matt Stone Racing driver Le Brocq was disqualified from Practice 1, after it emerged that the wrong drop gear ratio had been fitted to the #4 Sherrin Rentals Camaro.
Le Brocq, who was eliminated from the 2026 Finals last time out on the Gold Coast, had ended up 15th in the session.
Allen, meanwhile, was scrubbed from the Practice 2 results after his #26 Penrite Ford was found to have breached the minimum tyre pressure regulations.
Per a Motorsport Australia bulletin, a technical data report showed the right rear tyre on the #26 Mustang was below the minimum pressure during Practice 2
Allen was 13th in Practice 2.
The stewards report reads: “The Competitor’s Authorised Representative did not dispute that the tyre was below the minimum pressure and explained that it was an unintentional breach caused by an error by the team.
It comes after Allen avoided disqualification from the Perth finale for a tyre pressure breach, which was subject to an appeal by Supercars, which was later dismissed.
Supercars action commences on Saturday with Boost Mobile Qualifying at 11:20am AEDT.
