Jarrod Hughes joins Stewart for 2026 Supercars enduros
Erebus Motorsport rookie Jobe Stewart is raring to stand up in the Ryco Enduro Cup following a breakout 2025 campaign.
The South Australian will partner Jarrod Hughes in Erebus’ #9 Chevrolet Camaro for the longest races of the year at The Bend and Bathurst.
12 months ago, Stewart paired up with Cooper Murray. With little experience between them, the Murray/Stewart combination fought for top fives in both races.
It came to a head at the Mountain, where Stewart watched on as Murray battled for the lead in the closing laps.
Heartbreak ultimately fell their way, Murray being hit by James Golding while disputing the lead with five laps remaining at Griffins Bend.
In 2026, Stewart is now the main man.
“Having the success we had last year at The Bend and Bathurst, battling for the top five at both events and having the potential to win at Bathurst, gives myself and the whole team heaps of confidence heading into the enduros this year,” Stewart said.
“It will be good going into the weekend knowing what to expect and knowing what it takes to be up the front.
“I don’t really think there is much added pressure being a main driver this year compared to a co-driver, I will just have a different role. I will be more of a leader and will have more of an influence on the results."
Stewart and Hughes were teammates in Super2, and enjoyed a big test day together at Queensland Raceway last week.
“Jarrod and I were team mates for a couple of years in Super2 so we know how we both operate and I’m super keen to team up with him for the Enduros,” Stewart said.
“It will also be great to have Cooper and Lochie [Dalton] alongside us in the garage to help progress both cars towards the front of the field.”
The Stewart/Hughes combination will commence their Ryco Enduro Cup campaign at the AirTouch 500 at The Bend on September 11-13.
