Dean Orr joins as Team Manager, Carly Hammersley appointed COO, John Booker CFO
Erebus enters 2026 with Cooper Murray and rookie Jobe Stewart
Erebus Motorsport has confirmed a series of leadership appointments ahead of the 2026 Repco Supercars Championship season.
The team will enter 2026 with a tweaked driver line-up, with Cooper Murray joined by highly rated rookie Jobe Stewart.
Dean Orr joins Erebus as Team Manager, having managed Dick Johnson Racing at the turn of the century. More recently, he was involved with Image Racing and the Erebus Super2 program.
Commercial and communications manager Carly Hammersley has been appointed Chief Operating Officer, taking responsibility for all non-performance areas of the team. Hammersley will work closely with CEO, Barry Ryan.
John Booker has also been appointed Chief Financial Officer.
Long time team member Bradley Packham, meanwhile, has departed Erebus. Mechanic turned Crew Chief Packham made the decision to spend more time with his partner and family.
Ryan said the appointments of Orr and Hammersley are crucial for the direction Erebus is heading.
“Dean is no-nonsense, experienced and passionate, exactly what Erebus is about. He understands people, he understands racing, and he leads by example. He’s a great fit for our crew and will help lift us to where we want to be," Ryan said.
“Carly gets Erebus. She understands the sport, she understands the business, and she understands our people. Having people working alongside you that you can trust is vital, and having her take charge of the non-performance side means the whole team is aligned and focused. That’s incredibly important for where we’re heading.”
Team owner Betty Klimenko added" “Erebus doesn’t change what it is. This team is built on belief, commitment, hard work, fight and passion.
"What matters is having the right people in the right roles to support that. Carly and Dean both bring strength, clarity and accountability. They work hard, they tell it straight, and they put the team first.
"That’s what I expect, and that’s what Erebus has always been about.”
Murray and Stewart will hit the track for Race 1 in Sydney on February 20. Tickets for the event are on sale now.
