Chaz Mostert reacts to "surreal" Dick Johnson milestone
Mostert matched Johnson with 30 career wins at The Bend
DJR handed Mostert his debut back in 2013
Chaz Mostert has labelled matching Dick Johnson on 30 career wins as "surreal."
The 2025 Supercars champion tied Supercars Hall of Famer Johnson on 30 wins at last weekend's AirTouch 500 at The Bend, winning with Fabian Coulthard.
Mostert made his Supercars debut with Johnson's eponymous team in 2013, and raced to victory at Queensland Raceway just weeks later.
In 13 years in Supercars, Mostert has won Bathurst twice (2014 and 2021) and the 2025 title, and finally ticked off his first 500km enduro win last weekend.
Tying Johnson brings Mostert full circle, the star driver paying tribute to his fellow Queenslander.
"To get Win #30 in my Supercars career, tying me with Dick Johnson on the all-time list on the weekend was surreal," Mostert wrote on social media.
"Not sure the little Chaz in the picture knew what he was in for or how he would get to a stat like that, but that's pretty cool."
Getting the win with Coulthard, who last won in 2020 — fittingly, at The Bend — also meant a great deal to Mostert, who qualified for the Finals.
"This one means a lot to me," Mostert wrote to his personal blog.
"Win number 30 in my Supercars career, which ties me with Dick Johnson on the all-time list, that's honestly pretty surreal.
"To do it in an enduro with Fabs by my side made it even more special. It's also our second win of the 2026 season after Tasmania, and the momentum heading into Bathurst is incredible."
Mostert and Coulthard will commence their Bathurst campaign on Thursday October 8.
