Toyota bound BJR reveals new look engineering team
BJR enters 2026 with two brand new Toyota GR Supras, Cameron Hill
Phil Keed to engineer team spearhead Andre Heimgartner
Toyota bound Brad Jones Racing has revealed a new look engineering team, which includes two new Race Engineers.
The Albury squad enters 2026 with two brand new Toyota GR Supras, and a new driver in Cameron Hill.
With engineer Tony Woodward departing for Blanchard Racing Team alongside James Golding, long-time BJR engineer Phil Keed has shifted to Andre Heimgartner's car for 2026.
Keed, formerly of DJR Team Penske and Ford Performance Racing (now Tickford), previously engineered Bryce Fullwood between 2022 and 2025.
Jason Bonney and Randall Chua will engineer Hill and Macauley Jones respectively.
Bonney worked alongside Keed for several years as a data engineer, and has also stood in as race engineer on multiple occasions. Chua, meanwhile, was the data engineer for Jones last season.

Julian Stannard shifts to a performance engineering role, a position he held prior to 2023, while Paul Scalzo will continue as Head of Engineering.
The restructure comes as the BJR fleet downsizes from four to three cars, with the SCT Motorsport entry aligning with Triple Eight Race Engineering and Ford from 2026.
“I’m proud that we’re able to promote talent from within and give Jason and Randall this opportunity. It speaks to their work ethic, dedication, and skill, and I have complete confidence they’re ready to take this next step," said Scalzo, who will also be Data Engineer on Jones' Supra.
"Our group works extremely well together, both professionally and away from the track, which is a real advantage.
"This restructure creates clearer focus, directs energy to the right projects, and provides a strong foundation for the year ahead.”
Team owner Brad Jones added: “We had a need to restructure our engineering department coming into 2026, obviously with going down to three cars and then developing the Toyota program in our team. I think what we’ve achieved with this restructure is playing into our strengths.
“We have a lot of firepower in this team and I have the confidence that they can achieve the goals we’re mapping out.
“I have a lot of belief in giving people the opportunities and presenting pathways through our team, and both Jason and Randall have proven themselves countless times.
"They’re both not only capable but highly skilled and have worked incredibly hard for our team. I’m excited to see what Jase and Randy can do.
“This is a massive year for our team. I can’t overstate that. We all feel the pressure but that’s when our crew does their best work. I’m so proud of how this Toyota project is coming along and can't wait to get racing.”
BJR will debut its Supras at the DUNLOP Sydney 500 on February 20-22.
