Walkinshaw TWG confirms Team Principal exit
Carl Faux will leave the Toyota team towards end of 2026
Faux joined in 2017, has overseen Toyota program
Walkinshaw TWG Racing has confirmed Team Principal Carl Faux will leave the Toyota squad towards the end of the season.
Faux, who was promoted to the Team Principal role at the end of 2023, joined the squad back in 2017 as Technical Director.
The Briton has overseen a Bathurst win in 2021 and drivers’ championship in 2025 for Chaz Mostert.
Most recently, he has been charged with the development of the Toyota GR Supra, which made its competitive debut in 2026.
Faux is set to depart after October's Repco Bathurst 1000.
In a statement, Walkinshaw TWG said it will announce its "ongoing structure" in due course.
Bruce Stewart was revealed as CEO at the same time Faux was initially announced as Team Principal.
“Walkinshaw TWG Racing can confirm team principal, Carl Faux, will finish with the team towards the end of the 2026 season, as he looks for his next challenge and role outside of the sport,” a team statement said.
“Since joining in 2017, Carl has played an instrumental part in the re-shaping and success of the team, culminating in a Bathurst 1000 win, a championship win, and the homologation and implementation of the Toyota GR Supra to the Supercars Championship.
“We will definitely miss Carl and wish him nothing but the best in his next challenge, whatever it may be, but have plenty of goals to achieve and moments left to share together before then.
“The team will announce its ongoing structure in due course, but in the meantime, is completely focussed on the NTI Townsville 500 this weekend.”
Ryan Wood and Mostert are eighth and 10th in the championship heading to Townsville.
