Toyota Supercar to feature at Sandown, Adelaide
New GR Supra to make competitive debut next year
Fans can watch the highly-anticipated Toyota next February
The Toyota GR Supra Supercar will feature at the final events on the 2025 calendar, at Sandown and Adelaide.
The all-new Supercar made its public debut in Bathurst earlier this month, and hit the track at Surfers Paradise last weekend.
The Supra will be trackside at the Penrite Oil Sandown 500 in the paddock. Then, it will feature on track at the bp Adelaide Grand Final, with the Adelaide Street Circuit celebrating its 40th anniversary.
The Toyota GR Supra Supercar can be viewed with a bp Adelaide Grand Final general admission ticket and displayed in a paddock garage with a paddock pass add-on.
"We are looking forward to welcoming the new Toyota GR Supra Supercar to the bp Adelaide Grand Final, a year early for fans to see another landmark moment in Australian motorsport history up close,” South Australian Motor Sport Board CEO Mark Warren said.
“Between the Supercars and support category racing, the GR Supra Supercar’s on track appearance is one of many entertaining features for patrons in a blockbuster program with action aplenty across the Adelaide parklands.
“The special South Australian debut of the car across all four days of the bp Adelaide Grand Final will act as a preview of what to expect when Toyota becomes the third manufacturer on the grid in 2026.”
Toyota Australia Vice President Sales, Marketing and Franchise Operations Sean Hanley said: “We are excited to showcase our GR Supra Supercar to all motorsport fans at the bp Adelaide Grand Final – one of the most iconic events on the Supercars calendar.
"With the new finals series format that Supercars has implemented, the Grand Final round is only going to be more exciting for the fans to tune in and watch.
"It will be great to see the GR Supra Supercar on display for fans and performing demonstration laps throughout the weekend, this could be the last chance the public sees it before we start on the grid in 2026, we can’t wait to be back here with our Toyota teams Walkinshaw Andretti United and Brad Jones Racing hopefully battling for the championship next year.”
Supercars Chief Executive James Warburton added: “Anticipation for Toyota joining the grid in 2026 is high, and we’re excited to give fans a preview at the bp Adelaide Grand Final.
“The Supra has already made an impression, and finishing its 2025 on-track appearances at this iconic event is a great way to build momentum.
“Fans will get a clear look at what will be racing through the streets of Adelaide in next year’s Grand Final.”
