Cam Waters has more street circuit wins of 2025 drivers
Tickford star sixth all-time for street circuit race wins in Supercars
2025 season resumes on Townsville streets on July 11-13
It has been a rollercoaster time for Cam Waters since his stunning sweep in Sydney back in February, with the Tickford Racing star now 320 points behind Broc Feeney.
After winning all three races from pole at Sydney Motorsport Park, Waters has claimed three podiums in 15 completed races, and missed the top 10 on four occasions.
While Feeney, Waters, Will Brown and Matt Payne are odds-on to reach the Finals from here, each driver needs to make statements to show their rivals they are the ones to beat when it comes to crunch time.
On current form, Waters needs to find more than those ahead, but he could have a trick up his sleeve that could deliver the Ford star a championship triumph.
In recent years, Waters has been a benchmark at street circuits, with Townsville the next stop on the calendar.
While Waters has drifted off the back of Feeney, he could be the one to beat in the post-season, given two of the final three rounds are at street circuits.
Of active drivers, no one has more wins on streets circuits than Waters' seven, five of which have come in the Gen3 era.

Impressively, Waters is ranked sixth all-time for street circuit wins, with statistics taken from championship races in Adelaide, Gold Coast, Sydney Olympic Park, Townsville, Newcastle, Hamilton and Canberra.
Jamie Whincup and Shane van Gisbergen lead the way with 44 and 28 wins respectively, highlighting Triple Eight Race Engineering's dominance at street circuits.
Garth Tander (16), Craig Lowndes (15) and Scott McLaughlin (10) are the only other drivers to reach double digits.
There are eight street circuit races to come this season (three in Townsville, two at Surfers Paradise, three in Adelaide), with Waters a winner at all three events in the last two years.
Speaking in Darwin, Mark Skaife believes street circuits will open the window to some drivers come Finals, saying: “When you get to a street circuit like Townsville, there’ll be a greater emphasis on what you do at that race track.
“When you go to the finale, and you’re looking for the form off the back of Gold Coast… street circuits are going to play a pivotal role in how this championship is won and lost.
“The Gold Coast will play a big role, and then we’ll have this mad final with only four competitors that can win in Adelaide on the streets. Townsville’s form guide will be a really big one for the end of the year.”
