A number of Super2 Series teams will descend on Winton Motor Raceway this week for pre-season testing.

The 2025 development series season will commence at the Thrifty Sydney 500 - Opening Round in three weeks’ time on February 21-23.

With just 17 days until the first official track action of the year, a number of teams will take to Winton this week to bed in new drivers and cars.

Eggleston Motorsport is set to deploy all five Holden Commodores on Wednesday and Thursday, led by star recruit, 2024 champion Zach Bates.

Bates is one of four new faces at Eggleston, joining 2024 Super3 champion Cody Burcher, Brady Owen and Elliott Cleary, who has joined from Brad Jones Racing.

Brad Jones Racing is also set to join Eggleston Motorsport at Winton on Wednesday and Thursday, with Erebus Motorsport, Image Racing and Walkinshaw Andretti United also planning tests.

Jobe Stewart, Jarrod Hughes and rookie Max Geoghegan will roll out in their Commodores on Wednesday, as will WAU rookie Matt Hillyer, who replaces Bates.

More testing is set to take place next week, with the likes of Anderson Motorsport, Tickford Autosport and Triple Eight Race Engineering preparing for their new seasons.

Tickford has four drivers on its 2025 roster, with recruits Reuben Goodall and Nash Morris lining up alongside Lochie Dalton and Rylan Gray.

Triple Eight, meanwhile, enters for the first time since 2022 with rookies Ben Gomersall and Jackson Walls.

Tickets for the upcoming Thrifty Sydney 500 - Opening Round are on sale now.
