Stephen Grove has been cleared of major injuries following his accident during Sunday’s Meguiar’s Bathurst 12 Hour.

Grove was hospitalised after suffering a major crash following a collision with eventual podium-finisher and two-time winner Kenny Habul.

The Supercars team owner and racer hit the concrete wall at Skyline, with the Mercedes-AMG going airborne before coming to rest on the run to The Dipper.

Grove walked away from the crash, but was in clear discomfort. He taken to the circuit's medical centre and assessed, before being transferred to Orange Hospital.

On Sunday afternoon, the the team issued a statement, revealing that initial tests revealed "damage to his back" and that there would be further assessment consultation with Westmead Hospital in Sydney.

In an update on Thursday, Grove Racing confirmed Grove is "recovering well" and he plans to return to racing.

“Grove Racing is pleased to confirm that Stephen Grove is recovering well after his crash at the Bathurst 12 Hour this past weekend,” the statement reads.

"Stephen has been cleared of any major injuries and is in good spirits. The team thanks fans, medical staff, and everyone for their support during this time.

“Stephen’s health and safety are our top priority, and we look forward to seeing him race again soon.”

Grove's Supercars team, which runs under the Penrite Racing banner, will commence its 2025 season at the Thrifty Sydney 500 - Opening Round on February 21-23. Tickets are on sale now.
