The 2025 Repco Supercars Finals Series is now a reality, and we were treated to some of the most intense Supercars racing ever seen on the Gold Coast.
The drivers might have been playing it down, but it's plain to see that the intensity ramped up markedly as the seven spots in the Semi Final at the Penrite Oil Sandown 500.
As a result, we saw mistakes on the track, we saw mistakes in pit lane, but perhaps most importantly for the fans, we saw drivers put absolutely everything on the line to keep their seasons alive.
Supercars.com gives you the rundown on how the 10 Finals Drivers fared at the Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500.
Broc Feeney
Race 28: Started 2nd, Finished 2nd
Race 29: Started 1st, Finished 2nd
Did exactly what he needed to do. After a wobble in the enduros, the championship favourite well and truly found his feet on home turf. Locked himself in on points on Saturday, and made a statement when he went all out to get the win on Sunday.
Chaz Mostert

Race 28: Started 4th, Finished 1st
Race 29: Started 3rd, Finished 1st
The only driver to lock themselves in for the Semi Final by virtue of a race win, and did it twice for good measure. Mostert was at his unstoppable best on Saturday, and the team stood up when Feeney had the pace on Sunday. What a way to announce your title credentials.
Matt Payne

Race 28: Started 3rd, Finished 10th
Race 29: Started 9th, Finished 4th
The Bathurst winner will be slightly disappointed with his Gold Coast weekend. An unsafe release killed his Saturday before it even really started, and a kerb strike in the Sunday Shootout left him with work to do. He'll take confidence from a strong recovery.
Cam Waters

Race 28: Started 6th, Finished 4th
Race 29: Started 4th, Finished 5th
Two top five finishes, yet the Tickford ace flew under the radar on the Gold Coast. Didn't quite have the pace to challenge for race wins, but made the most of what he had. Currently in the last transfer spot for Adelaide.
Will Brown
Race 28: Started 10th, Finished 5th
Race 29: Started 18th, Finished 8th
The reigning champion's difficult relationship with the streets of Surfers Paradise continued. Twice in as many days did he come unstuck in qualifying, making it four accidents in three years of Gold Coast qualifying. Race pace is still sensational, but qualifying remains an enormous question mark.
Kai Allen

Race 28: Started 12th, Finished 3rd
Race 29: Started 8th, Finished 6th
Arguably the man of the match. Surfers Paradise is one of the toughest venues on the calendar, and for Allen to excel in his first-ever visit was particularly impressive, with his long final stint on Saturday defying his experience levels. Started the weekend with the most work to do, and comfortably bumped in.
Thomas Randle
Race 28: Started 14th, Finished 9th
Race 29: Started 2nd, Finished 7th
Fought his way into the top 10 on Saturday, keeping him in the game. Looked almost certain to bump his way in after qualifying second on Sunday, but faded in the race. If it weren't for a late penalty for Anton De Pasquale, he would've been out. Still, it doesn't matter how you get in, just as long as you do get in.
Anton De Pasquale
Race 28: Started 9th, Finished 8th
Race 29: Started 17th, Finished 16th
A lot will be said about the penalty that ultimately ended his season. However, much like James Golding at Bathurst, you can't fault him for having a crack with everything on the line. Showed some of his best speed all year on Sunday, but ultimately, being Mr. Consistent just wasn't enough.
Ryan Wood

Race 28: Started 1st, Finished 20th
Race 29: Started 13th, Finished 9th
The real heartbreak story of the weekend, luck deserted the young Kiwi once again. Looked to be the one to beat on Saturday after flying to pole, only for a fuel leak to wipe him out of contention. Faced with a win or bust scenario on Sunday, but qualifying outside the top 10 sealed his fate. Didn't deserve the outcome he got, but will still play a huge role.
Brodie Kostecki
Race 28: Qualified 16th, Did Not Start
Race 29: Started 14th, Finished 11th
His Saturday qualifying accident was one of the biggest we've seen in the Gen3 era. Ultimately, it was the crescendo of a scrappy weekend, starting with a crash on Friday, then continually thumping the Turn 1 tyre bundle prior to his accident. A herculean effort from DJR got the #38 back on track for Sunday, but the damage had figuratively and literally been done.
The 2025 Repco Supercars Finals Series continues with the Semi Final round at the Penrite Oil Sandown 500 from November 14-16. Tickets for the event are on sale now.
