MSR confirms Tim Slade as Nick Percat’s 2025 co-driver
Percat, Slade to share Bendix Camaro at The Bend, Bathurst
Percat and Slade were BJR teammates between 2017 and 2019
Tim Slade will partner Nick Percat for the year’s longest Supercars races, Matt Stone Racing has confirmed.
Slade will team up with Percat in the #10 Bendix Racing Chevrolet Camaro at The Bend 500 and Repco Bathurst 1000 later this year.
The 39-year-old joins MSR fresh off his final full-time Supercars season, having retired at the end of the 2024 championship.
Slade has 451 race starts to his name, and looms as one of the picks of the co-driver field alongside 2011 Bathurst winner Percat, who was an impressive eighth overall last year.
Percat and Slade, while rivals for over 15 years in Supercars, have not previously shared a car together. Friends for over 30 years, they were also teammates at Brad Jones Racing between 2017 and 2019.
Slade could prove a wildcard to Percat’s championship hopes, with the Sprint Cup and Enduro Cup winners sealing passage into the Finals.
Two-time race winner Slade will also participate in all of the team’s test days, with MSR confirming he will be at the track at select meetings to integrate himself with the team.
“I'm looking forward to teaming up with Nick and the team at MSR for The Bend and Bathurst later this year,” Slade said.
"The team has achieved some great results since the inception of Gen3 and Nick obviously had a strong first year with the team, collecting a couple of wins.
"There's lots of familiar faces having worked with not only Nick previously but also Matt, Jimmy and some of the key staff from SBR back in the day.
"Another familiar face is James Rosenberg who has had some involvement with the team for a while now, so racing aside, it's a really nice fit.”
Percat will commence his Repco Supercars Championship campaign at Sydney Motorsport Park on February 21-23. The Percat/Slade combination will tackle The Bend on September 12-14, before the Great Race in Bathurst on October 9-12.
