Chaz Mostert has joined an elite list of drivers on the Australian Touring Car Championship/Repco Supercars Championship honour roll.
Mostert wrote his name in history as the first-ever winner of the Repco Supercars Finals Series on a dramatic Sunday at the bp Adelaide Grand Final.
As Broc Feeney's title challenge unravelled at the final hurdle, Mostert held his nerve to cross the line in second and claim the title by 62 points over Will Brown.
Mostert becomes just the 28th driver to win the ATCC/Supercars Championship, and the third first-time champion in as many seasons, following Brodie Kostecki (2023), and Brown last season.
Mostert also secured the Walkinshaw organisation's first drivers championship since 2002, the last of Mark Skaife's five title wins, and his third in succession with the then-Holden Racing Team.
Skaife is equal second in the champion's list alongside Ian 'Pete' Geoghegan and Dick Johnson, with Jamie Whincup the most successful driver in history with seven titles.
