With three rounds before the cut-off, time is running out for drivers to get results and qualify for the first ever Supercars Finals Series.
The top six drivers in the championship are now well clear of the cut-line, but coming races will play a crucial role in how drivers are ranked. Behind them, there are several drivers in and around the bubble, with as many as 11 drivers from seventh through 17th in realistic contention.
Anton De Pasquale was a big winner in recent rounds, claiming podiums in Darwin and Townsville, but poor results in coming races could leave him in danger. Behind him, it's anyone's guess who could make it.
There are 315 points up for grabs in Ipswich, and 300 at The Bend and Bathurst. That's 915 points before we find out Finals top 10. Which drivers are looking over their shoulder, and which drivers need a big weekend to fight their way in?
The 2025 Supercars season resumes at the Century Batteries Ipswich Super 440. Supercars drivers will contest three races at the August 8-10 event. Tickets are on sale now. International viewers can watch the action on SuperView.
Anton De Pasquale
Position: 7th
Difference to Finals: +120

The Team 18 driver has impressed in recent rounds, claiming podiums in Darwin and Townsville to jump from outside the 10 to seventh. De Pasquale is 120 points clear of 11th, and a strong Ipswich would help greatly. An unknown is rookie co-driver Harri Jones, who will slot in alongside De Pasquale for the enduros.
Thomas Randle
Position: 8th
Difference to Finals: +98

The Tickford Racing driver has been in the top 10 for the entire season to date, but hasn't claimed a top five race finish since Tasmania. Randle claimed his first Super2 win in Ipswich, so he knows how to win there. His form at The Bend will hold him in good stead, but being just 98 points clear of 11th is far from comfortable.
Andre Heimgartner
Position: 9th
Difference to Finals: +90

The Brad Jones Racing driver has teetered on the bubble all year, and is the only driver in the top 14 without a podium to his name. Heimgartner has been consistent, but qualifying pace has been a headache. Future qualifying stumbles could prove costly.
Ryan Wood
Position: 10th
Difference to Finals: +53

The Walkinshaw Andretti United driver is finally back in the top 10, but is sick of being on the bubble. Wood is far from safe, but the safe hands of Fabian Coulthard could be a game-changer in the enduros. Still, Wood can't afford any more penalties, tangles or mechanical issues.
Cameron Hill
Position: 11th
Difference to Finals: -53

The tough luck story of Townsville, Hill dropped out of the top 10, having held a provisional Finals spot since Melbourne in March. A brake failure was costly in the Townsville finale, but to be frank, two top 10s in his last four rounds simply isn't good enough to make Finals.
Kai Allen
Position: 12th
Difference to Finals: -80

The Penrite Racing rookie has improved in leaps and bounds this season, and a double podium in Darwin was a huge result. Of all drivers on this list, Allen is perhaps under the least pressure to get into the Finals, although it would give his team and teammate Matt Payne a shot in the arm if he made it.
Nick Percat
Position: 13th
Difference to Finals: -103

Save for podiums in Melbourne and Tasmania, it has been a tough season for Percat. The Matt Stone Racing driver has been let down by qualifying performance, or lack thereof. Percat is a strong racer and knows how to extract results, but he needs a big result, preferably on the Ipswich Sunday race, to make a statement.
Bryce Fullwood
Position: 14th
Difference to Finals: -132

While there has been plenty of noise about his future, Fullwood has quietly worked his way into contention, and is an outside chance to make the Finals. A podium in Tasmania was a highlight, but a series of top 10s in Darwin and Townsville brought him back.
Jack Le Brocq
Position: 15th
Difference to Finals: -143

It hasn't been the year Erebus Motorsport wanted, but Le Brocq is hanging on by his fingernails. The veteran claimed a front row start in Darwin with a bent car, so you know he'll turn up and get a result when the chips are down. Can Erebus do it? The team benched big points in the Townsville with a fuel mix-up, so they'll be determined to make Ipswich count before throwing rookie co-drivers into the fire.
James Golding
Position: 16th
Difference to Finals: -166

An untimely DNF in Townsville, Golding's first since Adelaide 2022, seriously hurt. PremiAir Racing has stumbled at nearly every turn this season, with Golding unable to replicate his speed from last season. David Russell will be a superb leader in the enduros, but the team needs to find form.
Will Davison
Position: 17th
Difference to Finals: -195

There's little doubt Davison is good enough to make the Finals, but poor qualifying and bad luck in races has hurt the Shell V-Power Racing Team driver's year. A former winner at Queensland Raceway, Davison will be more determined than ever to get results on home soil and make it Dick Johnson Racing double trouble in the Finals.
