David Reynolds reveals Gold Coast underwear race suit
Special suit features printed physique of Nick 'Honey Badger’ Cummins
Reynolds won on the Gold Coast in 2013, 2023
Team 18 star David Reynolds will carry a new look at this weekend’s Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500 — but not one you’d expect.
The Bathurst runner-up will wear a TRADIE Energy full-body race suit, complete with underwear.
Reynolds's race suit features the printed physique of former rugby union star Nick 'Honey Badger’ Cummins.
The special suit carries similarities to the look carried by Triple Eight's drivers at the 2010 Gold Coast event, where suits carried red Speedos.
It’s not the only special look for Reynolds, who will wear a pink helmet that is being auctioned to raise funds for the National Breast Cancer Foundation, in partnership with JAX Tyres & Auto.
“I’ve worn some loud suits in my time, but this one takes the cake. It’s the Honey Badger’s rig on full display, muscles, abs, the lot, and I’m just the bloke lucky enough to wear it,” Reynolds said.
“TRADIE always brings a bit of fun to the track, and that’s what makes this partnership so great. Hopefully the fans get a laugh out of it, and we can back it up with a strong result on track too.”
Reynolds is a two-time winner on the Gold Coast, in 2013 and 2023.
Teammate Anton De Pasquale will fight for the championship in the Repco Supercars Finals Series, which commences this weekend.
