David Reynolds has avenged his narrow Bathurst defeat to Matt Shirvington to win the third Supercar versus man race on the streets of Adelaide.
The Team 18 driver took on sprinter turned Sunrise TV presenter Shirvington for the third time in 2025, following races in Sydney and Bathurst.
After defeating Shirvington in a photo finish on the Sydney pit straight in February, Reynolds was pipped to the post on Bathurst pit straight last month.
In the third instalment of the Supercar versus man battle, Reynolds and Shirvington went head-to-head on Adelaide pit straight on Friday morning.
The honours fell to Reynolds, who denied Shirvington a second straight victory.
"I think the competition nature between you and I, at the end of the day we both wanted to win, and you showed us what you're made of," Shirvington said.
Reynolds joked: "I actually got a good start for once, so I'm sorry."
Supercars return to the track on Friday morning for Practice 1 at 10:30am local/11:00am AEDT, followed by Boost Mobile Qualifying at 12:40pm local/1:10pm AEDT. Tickets for the event are on sale.
