A long partnerships comes to an end in 2025

Craig Lowndes and Triple Eight Race Engineering have been a formidable partnership over 20 years, with driver and team combining for Bathurst glory, championship battles and countless wins.

Tuesday's news that Lowndes will depart Triple Eight at the end of 2025 puts a full stop on an unprecedented relationship in Australian motorsport that has run for two decades.

The three-time champion joined Triple Eight from the battling Ford Performance Racing in 2005, and won the team's first ever race in Supercars in Sydney.

Across the next 20 years, Lowndes won Bathurst six times, finished in the top three overall on seven occasions, and carved out an unmatchable legacy.

After retiring from full-time Supercars competition following the 2018 season, Lowndes remained with Triple Eight as a co-driver, and has led the team's enduro wildcard since 2022.

This year’s Repco Bathurst 1000 will double as Lowndes’ 32nd consecutive start, and his 21st as a Triple Eight driver.
