Chaz Mostert puts the pressure on Grand Final rivals Red Bull Ampol Racing
Broc Feeney and Will Brown the only teammates competing for 2025 championship
Mostert chasing an elusive first championship win
Chaz Mostert has turned the Finals blowtorch onto Red Bull Ampol Racing amid the team's unique situation for the bp Adelaide Grand Final.
Both Broc Feeney and Will Brown have qualified into the Grand Final event, with Mostert and standout rookie Kai Allen completing the final four.
Whilst Mostert and Allen are the only two drivers from their respective teams, Walkinshaw Andretti United and Penrite Racing, to have made the Grand Final, there will be two Red Bull Camaros fighting for a championship.
Just how the likes of Triple Eight Team Principal Jamie Whincup and Team Manager Mark Dutton will manage the situation will be one of the most intriguing storylines of the Adelaide weekend.
Feeney has been the standout driver of 2025, claiming 13 wins and a record-equalling 16 poles, whilst Brown enters as the defending champion, and off the back of a remarkable Sandown 500 where he gained 27 positions in two races.
Last year's two wins in Adelaide were split between the pair, with Feeney winning on Saturday, and Brown claiming a stunning last-to-first win in the finale, capitalising on penalties for his teammate.
The second of Feeney's Sunday penalties came after dumping Mostert into the wall at Turn 6. Ironically, it is the two-time Bathurst winner who is Feeney's closest rival for the title.
And with little more than a week until cars hit the track, the mind games from Mostert have already started.
"It's nice to know the contenders that are in the final round," Mostert said at Sandown on Monday.
"Obviously myself and Kai have got a few wingmen on the side looking after us.
"Triple Eight's the one that's gonna have to really work out what they're gonna do. Are they gonna back their current champion, or are they gonna back their guy that's been in form this year?
"That'll be an exciting storyline heading into Adelaide."
It's been a brilliant Finals campaign for the 33-year-old, who won the first three races of the post-season to briefly steal the championship lead off Feeney before the #88 Camaro returned to winning ways in the Sandown finale. After his Sunday win, Feeney quickly returned serve at Mostert, saying he was happy to take "buzz" away from his rival.
To underscore just how much Mostert has lifted in The Finals, his average qualifying and race results in the four Finals races sits at 3.0, and 1.75.
In the regular season up to Bathurst, his qualifying average was just 10.7, and his race average 9.54.
The Finals reset is something that Mostert and WAU have made the most of, having made the conscious decision to set up their cars with an eye to the Finals Series from the opening round in Sydney.
With three races and 600km standing between Mostert and an elusive first championship win, the Queenslander knows that this is his best chance yet to add a Supercars Championship win to his two Bathurst wins.
"I've kind of been in the hunt a couple of times in the old format, but I've never been able to strong it all together," Mostert continued.
"This really sets it up good for me because you just send it as hard as you can, and you do or die. It's been working so far the last two rounds.
"I'm looking forward to the last one, and laying it all on the line and not worrying about punching a ticket. We're at the big dance. Whoever wins in Adelaide is going to win the championship."
The 2025 Repco Supercars champion will be crowned at the bp Adelaide Grand Final from November 27-30. Tickets for the event are on sale now.
