Broc Feeney to make IMSA SportsCar Championship debut
Supercars star to race at famed Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Feeney to race with 12 Hour legend Kenny Habul in Mercedes
Broc Feeney is jetting off to the United States to make his IMSA SportsCar Championship debut at the famed Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
The Triple Eight Race Engineering star will contest this weekend’s Battle On The Bricks at Indianapolis on September 20-22.
Feeney will partner with two-time Bathurst 12 Hour winner Kenny Habul and Canadian racer Mikael Grenier in a Mercedes-AMG GT3 in the GTD Pro division.
It marks Feeney’s first start in the IMSA championship, and comes after his Bathurst 12 Hour cameo and GT World Challenge Australia starts in Audis this year.
Feeney last raced a GT3 Mercedes at the world famous Monza circuit in Italy last September, with AlManar Racing by GetSpeed.
The six-hour, multi-class Battle On The Bricks is the penultimate round of the 2025 IMSA SportsCar Championship.
Feeney will share the track with Australian star Matt Campbell, who returns in the GTP class with Porsche Penske Motorsport alongside Mathieu Jaminet.
A total of 53 cars are entered across the four classes.
Feeney’s start comes after a shocking run on Sunday at the AirTouch 500 at The Bend, with the #88 Red Bull Ampol Camaro crawling from pole to 19th after a refuelling issue.
After Indy, Feeney will return to Australia for his sixth Bathurst start, and fourth alongside four-time winner Jamie Whincup.
"Looking at the positives, we've been very fast the last couple of years at Bathurst and we've always been in there with the chance of winning,” Feeney said.
"The qualifying has been a big strength. We'll probably focus a bit more on the race car this time and getting that set up ready to go for what we know is going to be a big race.
"Some things just probably caught us out a little bit today, but overall we just need to try and minimise the mistakes because the way the championship is this year you have that happen at round one of the Finals at the Gold Coast and you go home.
"So not out our best day, but you've just got to learn from it and make sure it doesn't happen again.”
