Brad Jones Racing becomes third team to start 350 Supercars rounds
BJR debuted as a Ford team in 2000, has won 15 Supercars races
BJR joins Dick Johnson Racing, Walkinshaw Andretti United in '350 Club'
Brad Jones Racing will become the third team in ATCC/Supercars Championship history to start 350 rounds at this weekend's bp Adelaide Grand Final.
After debuting at the opening round of the 2000 championship at Phillip Island, BJR join Dick Johnson Racing and Walkinshaw Andretti United in the 350 club.
One of the sport's perennial underdogs, the Albury-based squad have garnered a reputation for punching well above their weight against some of the giants of the sport.
The team have enjoyed the highest of highs and the lowest of lows, and are set to begin an exciting new era in 2026 with a brand new manufacturer.
Supercars.com looks back at some of the key moments in BJR's first 349 Supercars rounds.
2000: Debut
After leaving the floundering Super Touring scene when Audi pulled their funding after 1999, Brad Jones took his eponymous team into the Supercars Championship. Armed with an ex-Tony Longhurst Ford Falcon AU, it was a tough initiation into the category, highlighted (or perhaps lowlighted) by a spectacular rollover at Adelaide. Jones would finish 24th in the 2000 championship.
2001: First Bathurst podium
Another tough season in 2001 was flipped at Bathurst with an extraordinary performance. After qualifying a lowly 22nd, BJR threw everything at the #21 Falcon ahead of the race on Sunday, and the gamble paid off handsomely. Jones teamed up with two-time British Touring Car Champion John Cleland to storm through to second, just 2.28s behind HRT combo Mark Skaife and Longhurst.
2002: Expands to two cars
For BJR's third season in Supercars, there would be not one, but two Falcons running out of Albury. After an acrimonious split with Briggs Motorsport the previous year, 1995 championship winner John Bowe joined BJR for what would become a five-year stint with the team.
2005: First win at non-championship AGP

It was Bowe who would claim the team's first win in Supercars competition, though it would come in the non-championship Australian Grand Prix support races. Amid mixed conditions, the team made the right tyre call, with Bowe heading home Jones in a stunning 1-2 finish.
2008: Switch to Holden
BJR would progressively sink further towards the back of the pack as their in-house developed Fords became more uncompetitive. A move to ex-Walkinshaw Holden Commodores for 2008 promised an uptick in fortunes. It was a move that would immediately pay dividends, new signing Cameron McConville claiming an Adelaide 500 podium in his first event with the team.
2010: Expands to three cars
The team would continue to show glimpses, with the late Jason Richards claiming a maiden pole position in Darwin and combining with McConville to charge to a Bathurst podium in 2009. The following year, BJR would expand to three cars for the first time, with Karl Reindler coming onboard in the third Commodore.
2011: First championship race win
Jason Bright also came onboard for the 2010 season, and was promoted to the team's lead entry for 2011 following Richards' cancer diagnosis. Bright duly delivered the team's maiden points-paying victory at Perth, and backed it up with another win at Winton, with Richards standing alongside on the rostrum.
2013: Bright wins JR Trophy amid best season

Richards passed away in December 2011, and when Supercars returned to Pukekohe in 2013 he was remembered through the Jason Richards Memorial Trophy, awarded to the highest points-scoring driver of the event. Bright duly delivered one of the most emotional victories in Supercars history to become the first-ever recipient of the JR Trophy. Bright and Fabian Coulthard capitalised on the new Car of the Future regulations, combining for five wins to claim seventh and fifth respectively in the championship, and BJR third in the teams' championship.
2020: Expands to four cars
Having risen through the BJR ranks in Super2, Jack Smith joined the team full-time in 2020, with BJR becoming a four-car operation. The team have remained a four-car operation since, but will shift back to three following the Smith family's bombshell move to shift their license to Triple Eight next year.
2024: Taupō win
Another strong inaugural season with new cars, this time Gen3, saw BJR once again claim third in the teams' standings, though this time without a win. The first Gen3 win would come in New Zealand, with Kiwi Andre Heimgartner claiming a stunning win in wet conditions in the first-ever Supercars race at Taupō.
2025: Toyota deal announced
At the Tasmania SuperSprint, BJR announced a landmark deal with Toyota to be the Japanese manufacturer's second team for their 2026 Supercars entry. Alongside homologation partner Walkinshaw Andretti United, BJR will run GR Supras for incumbents Heimgartner and Macauley Jones, as well as new signing Cameron Hill.
