Fox, Seven celebrate the majesty of Bathurst with epic broadcast openers

The Repco Supercars Championship's broadcast partners Fox Sports and the Seven Network have released their broadcast openers ahead of the 2025 Repco Bathurst 1000.

The scene setter for the 161 lap epic that is set to begin at 11:45am AEDT, both networks have made openers for their respective weekend broadcasts.

Fox Sports celebrates 10 years of Bathurst broadcasts, with streaming also available on Kayo Sports. Seven returns for a fifth consecutive season, and will also stream on 7plus.

Fox's opener, narrated by David Field, revolves around the question asked of drivers every year they arrive at Bathurst: "Can I conquer the Mountain?"

The opener also charts driver's individual journeys from go-karting, through to childhood encounters with all-time greats, and all of the trials and tribulations that Mount Panorama throws up every October.

Seven's opener, meanwhile, is narrated by three-time Bathurst winner, five-time ATCC champion, and Supercars Hall of Famer Dick Johnson.

Several of the categories' biggest stars also feature in the Seven opener, offering their reactions and insights into some of Bathurst's most iconic moments over the years.

The likes of current championship leader Broc Feeney, reigning Bathurst champion Brodie Kostecki, two-time Bathurst winner Chaz Mostert, and two-time Bathurst polesitter Cam Waters all make appearances.

Featured moments in the package include the controversial finish and podium ceremony from the 1992 race with Jim Richards' iconic speech, Marcos Ambrose and Greg Murphy's 2005 confrontation, and Mostert's remarkable last gasp victory in 2014.

Fox's on the ground Bathurst coverage begins this afternoon with the Repco Street Party at the end of the Track to Town parade at 5:30pm AEDT. Seven's coverage begins on qualifying day at 10:00am AEDT on Friday.
