Supercars teams pay tribute to the late Garry Rogers
Dick Johnson Racing and Erebus unveil tributes on their respective cars
A moment's silence will be observed on the grid ahead of tomorrow's race
The Supercars fraternity is this weekend paying tribute to one of their finest contributors.
Garry Rogers passed away yesterday aged 80, his eponymous team having been a staple of the Supercars Championship from 1996-2019, giving several future legends of the sport their big breaks. The likes of Garth Tander, Jamie Whincup, and Scott McLaughlin all started their careers with GRM.
Tribute flowed yesterday on social media, and the Supercars community have rallied to pay further tribute to Rogers over the course of the Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500 weekend.
Dick Johnson Racing printed tribute stickers for all 24 cars entered this weekend at their Stapylton workshop yesterday following the news of Rogers' passing.

Erebus Motorsport are also running their own tribute to the Supercars Hall of Famer, with the windscreen banners on both Jack Le Brocq and Cooper Murray's Camaros predominantly featuring the Garry Rogers Motorsport logo.
Mechanics from Erebus and PremiAir Racing were also photographed in pit lane this morning wearing Rogers' iconic terry towelling hat and board shorts combination.
There will also be a moment's silence observed on the grid prior to the start of tomorrow's 85 lap Race 28.
Supercars Chief Executive James Warburton said of Rogers: "Garry’s impact on our sport was extraordinary — from his own racing days in the 1960s and 70s, to building one of the most respected and enduring teams in the Supercars paddock.
"His induction into the Supercars Hall of Fame in 2015 recognised not only his longevity, but the indelible mark he left on generations of drivers, teams, and fans.
"His eye for potential, his belief in youth, and his trademark straight-talking humour made him one of the most loved and admired team owners our sport has ever known.
"Garry will be remembered not only as a racer and a team boss, but as a true character — larger than life, fiercely loyal, and utterly devoted to the sport he loved."
On-track action at the Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500 begins with Practice 1 at 12:40pm local time/1:40pm AEDT.
