RACE introduces revised structure for the Commission
Supercars is pleased to confirm that Shane Howard has been appointed Chair of the Supercars Commission.
The change comes as part of a succession process, with Howard transitioning into a new role within Supercars as a Board Member and Strategic Adviser to Supercars Chief Executive James Warburton.
In his new capacity, Howard will focus on the strategic and technical direction of the sport, including engagement with motorsport bodies and the integration of Toyota into the championship from 2026.
It also comes as Racing Australia Consolidated Enterprises Ltd (RACE), the owner of Supercars, introduces a revised structure for the Commission.
Under the new model, the Commission will comprise exclusively of Team Owners, alongside key Supercars Motorsport personnel and Chief Executive James Warburton.
