Robotham stole the front running after early leader Tyler Everingham dropped out of contention with a delaminating tyre.

A poor start for pole sitter Matt Payne allowed Everingham to streak into the lead off the line.

The pole man slotted into third behind Dubbo-born Everingham and Tickford Racing driver Zak Best.

However, the race only made it as far as Turn 3 before the Safety Car was deployed.

MW Motorsport recruit Angelo Mouzouris turned Elly Morrow into the outfield grass, where she became bogged.

Mouzouris avoided penalty following an investigation into the incident.

Everingham led away on the restart, but the race was again neutralised when James Masterton found the wet grass at Turn 1.

With the race again under the control of the Safety Car, Everingham was informed of a possible delaminating tyre.

The race restarted on lap 9, and Best made a dive on the ailing Everingham at Turn 2.

Best and Payne squabbled for the lead, but their battling allowed Robotham passage into the lead.

Best retained second place, with Super2 debutant Thomas Maxwell demoting Payne to fourth.
