Supercars drivers Chaz Mostert, Will Brown and Ryan Wood will race together in a Hyundai Excel enduro at endurance race at Queensland Raceway.

Mostert and Brown had teased their participation the event across last weekend’s Perth Supercars round, where Mostert won the opening race.

Mostert confirmed Wednesday that Supercars championship leader Brown and Walkinshaw Andretti United teammate Wood will join him on Friday in the Clippy Cup.

The 12-hour budget race, sanctioned by AASA, will run from 10:00am to 10:00pm. Crews are limited to cars worth $5000, with event to raise funds for Rare Cancers Australia.

"Giving Will Brown a taste of nascar before he heads stateside,” Mostert posted to social media.

"She’s second hand with low km’s, may as well have been from his car yard! In all seriousness, racing the 12HR for a charity race this Friday, should be a good time."

In a tongue-in-cheek reply, Brown posted: "I understand without my agreement Method Motorsport/Chaz Mostert have put out a press release that I am driving for them this Friday.

"This is wrong and I have not signed a contact with him. I may be driving for method motorsport this Friday #oscarpiastri."

Brodie Kostecki will also compete in the enduro, announcing an entry with Super2 points leader Kai Allen, James Lancaster, Mark Lancaster, Sean Dyson and Scott Greedy.

"Now that some other competitors have released their fighting wagon… Im pleased to announce our highly modified @lancaster_motor_group Hyundai Twin Cam Excel for the Clippy Cup race for charity this Friday at @qldraceway," Kostecki posted to social media. "A big thanks must go out to @completepartsandequipment for spending the last few days preparing this beast with heavy duty equipment."

The Supercars season will resume at the betr Darwin Triple Crown on June 14-16.
