Brodie Kostecki will make his long-awaited dirt track racing debut this weekend, competing in a Sprintcar at Toowoomba Speedway.
He will drive the Boost Mobile-backed #Q95 Sprintcar, owned by long-term family associate John Weatherall, to contest round four of the Ultimate Sprintcar Championship.
It marks the first time in 10 years that Kostecki has driven on dirt, with his last Speedway venture being in the United States.
It comes as the Bathurst 1000-podium finisher tested the General Motors Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 Gen3 prototype at Queensland Raceway.
Kostecki, who scored two podiums in his rookie Supercars season, is relishing being able achieve a lifelong dream.
"It’s a pretty cool opportunity to jump into a Sprintcar," Kostecki told Supercars.com.
"I missed earlier in the year due to the rainouts and whatnot up here in Queensland, but I'm really excited to jump back in again on the dirt.
"I haven't raced on dirt in about 10 or 11 years, so it's going to be a bit backward for me, and haven't pulled tear-offs in a long time either, there's going to be a bit going on.

"I'll give it a crack and have some fun, that's for sure.
Kostecki isn’t the only driver to turn to Speedway to stay sharp in between Repco Supercars Championship events.
Tickford Racing’s Cam Waters returned to speedway racing in January 2021, recording his personal-best finish at Simpson Speedway last month.
Kostecki, 24, is keen to do the same.
"I'm going to try to do as many races as I can," Kostecki continued.
"As long as they don't conflict with, the Supercar schedule and my commitments, because that comes first so, but definitely really excited to jump in the car as much as I can."
