Klimenko’s fascinating story to be aired on Sunday night

Erebus’ trailblazing team owner Betty Klimenko details her fascinating story as the first-ever female team owner to win the Bathurst 1000, and her comeback from having near nothing - in a Sky News special that will air on Sunday night.

The 64-year-old team owner who famously watched on as David Reynolds and Luke Youlden claimed Erebus’ first-ever Bathurst 1000 victory in 2017 has a story Australian Motorsport fans are familiar with - as the famously adopted daughter of Westfield co-founder John Saunders.

In the episode of Secrets of my Success , Klimenko goes into detail about her upbringing as the family went from nothing to one of the richest in Australia - and how she helped build Erebus from 2012 into the Bathurst-winning team that in 2023, currently leads the Teams’ points Championship and has its drivers, Brodie Kostecki and Will Brown sitting at 1-2 in the Driver’s points standings after five rounds.

Klimenko was made a Member of the Order of Australia in 2022 for her service to Motorsport and charity.
