The OTR SuperSprint has been a weekend to remember for the Blue Oval, with Mustangs sweeping all three poles and Races 9 and 10.

Anton De Pasquale’s Race 10 breakthrough was the 400th ATCC/Supercars Championship race win for Ford, some 57 years after the very first.

Ian Geoghegan’s Lakeside win aboard a Cortina in 1964, 31 years before De Pasquale was born, was Ford’s first win in the ATCC.

The win was the 138th by a Dick Johnson Racing car, and the first since Scott McLaughlin’s Race 29 victory at The Bend last September.

It was also a Shell V-Power Racing Team one-two, with Will Davison claiming his fourth podium in 10 starts in 2021.

It was the first time since McLaughlin’s Race 29 win, when Fabian Coulthard followed through into second, the DJR scored a one-two finish.

Shane van Gisbergen extended his championship lead over Red Bull Ampol Racing teammate Jamie Whincup to 178 points, having sailed from 13th on the grid to third.

It was van Gisbergen’s 124th career podium, and first since Race 7 at the last event in Tasmania.

Van Gisbergen was the biggest mover in the race, followed by Team 18’s Scott Pye, who vaulted from 19th to 10th.

Cameron Waters and Chaz Mostert both failed to finish the race following their involvement in the first-lap incident; it marked Waters’ first DNF since Darwin 2020, with Mostert failing to finish a race for the first time since Perth 2019.

Mostert and Waters are now 228 points and 277 points adrift of championship leader van Gisbergen.

The Repco Supercars Championship field will return for Race 11 at 4:10pm AEST. Check out the full weekend schedule here.

The OTR SuperSprint will be broadcast live on Foxtel and will be streamed on Kayo with highlights on 7 and 7 Plus.
