De Pasquale finished third in both Taupō races
Sunday winner Will Brown finished third for weekend
Anton De Pasquale has won the Jason Richards Memorial Trophy for a first time after an action-packed weekend in New Zealand, beating hometown hero Andre Heimgartner.
De Pasquale finished third in both races at the ITM Taupō Super400, with Saturday winner Heimgartner falling just six points short of an emotional victory.
It was a remarkable turnaround for Shell V-Power Racing Team driver De Pasquale, who was last in the weekend standings at the previous event at the Grand Prix.
Sunday winner Will Brown ended up third overall for the weekend, and now has an extended 71-point lead over teammate Broc Feeney.
The 2024 Repco Supercars Championship will resume at the Bosch Power Tools Perth SuperSprint on May 17-19. Tickets are on sale now.
