Bryce Fullwood’s homecoming will come with family-inspired artwork on his Middy’s Camaro at next weekend’s betr Darwin Triple Crown.
Fullwood is the only Northern Territory-born driver in the 2023 Repco Supercars Championship field.
The Brad Jones Racing driver will make his fourth trip north as a main game driver, having first raced a Supercar at Hidden Valley in 2020.
The #14 Middy’s Electrical Camaro will represent family and the land of the Wiradjuri people at next weekend's Indigenous round.
Mungabareena Aboriginal Corporation (MAC) has produced the striking pink livery, as it did for the Macauley Jones and Andre Heimgartner cars.
The Fullwood livery is centred on family, given the young driver has been surrounded and supported by family across his entire motorsport journey.
It ranges from his father, a key mentor and advisor over his career, to Middy’s owners the Middendorps.
Middy’s Electrical has backed Fullwood since karting, and notably backed his 2019 Super2 title win and ascension to the main game.
Highlights of the MAC design include the purple flower, which is symbolic of that family theme that runs through BJR, Middy’s and the Fullwoods.
An aqua green flower represents Elders in the community, and was inspired by this year's NAIDOC week (July 2-9) theme of ‘For Our Elders’.
The Murray River, the beating heart of the Bungambrawatha area, is present across the design running in blue lines.
The design has been brought to life with 3M film and PPG paint.
“Darwin has always meant family for me and I am so proud to be able to represent that with this livery thanks to the Mungabareena Aboriginal Corporation,” Fullwood said.
"MAC has delivered a very distinct and remarkable artwork that fills me with pride to be able to race.”
“My family and the Middy’s Electrical family have supported and given me strength over my entire racing career and the theme resonates strongly with me.
“We’ve achieved some good results so far this year and have had some very positive signs and some definite pace, so that gives me a lot of hope coming into Darwin.
"I’m very excited for this round and feel like we have quite a bit of potential.
“The Indigenous Round is a very special event in our sport and to be able to have that in a place like Darwin, where the community is so strong is important."
Nicholas Middendorp, Middy’s Electrical Director, added: “At Middy's Electrical, family is the foundation of our values.
"We have proudly embraced Bryce Fullwood as part of our family for over a decade, supporting him every step of his motorsport journey.
"As Australia's largest family-owned independent electrical wholesaler, our commitment to family runs deep.
"The stunning livery on the Middy's Electrical Camaro, created in collaboration with the Mungabareena Aboriginal Corporation, embodies our shared heritage and family ties.
“We stand alongside Bryce and Brad Jones Racing, united by our shared family values and passion for success. Together, we celebrate the power of family, community and country."
