Cameron McLeod’s maiden Dunlop Super2 Series campaign will come with backing from soft drink giant Coca-Cola.

The third-generation racer will race a PremiAir Racing-owned Holden ZB Commodore, with his Super2 debut coming at this weekend’s Thrifty Bathurst 500.

McLeod was a standout in last year’s Super3 Series in a Nissan Altima, winning eight races and fighting drivers in the Super2 class.

The 2023 Mike Kable Young Gun steps up to Super2 in a car owned by PremiAir, but built by Triple Eight Race Engineering.

The McLeod family team will run the car at race meetings, but the Arundel-based PremiAir squad will prepare the Commodore.

McLeod tested the car at Queensland Raceway earlier this month — complete with the #92 — albeit in a plain white livery.

The young driver is one of a number of drivers stepping up from Super3 to Super2 in 2024.

Earlier on Tuesday, it was announced that Mason Kelly will join Aaron Cameron in a two-car Kelly Racing Super2 effort, with Todd Kelly running the team.

Super3 champion Jobe Stewart jumps to Super2 with Erebus Motorsport, while Jett Johnson and Ryan Gray have graduated with AIM Motorsport and Tickford Autosport respectively.

Cars will hit the track at Mount Panorama on Friday.
