Woodstock Bourbon has expanded its involvement with Australia’s premier motorsport category, taking the naming rights sponsorship of the Woodstock Winton SuperSprint.

The Official Bourbon of the V8 Supercars Championship since the beginning of 2015, Woodstock has now taken the naming rights for the regional Victorian event.

Dark RTD Category Manager Kelly Jones said: “V8 Supercars is the right fit for Woodstock and a great brand awareness driver, hence why we are ramping up our plans in 2016 and fully integrating Woodstock into selected events."

V8 Supercars Managing Director Matt Braid welcomed the expansion of Woodstock’s involvement, saying it demonstrated the value of the V8 Supercars Championship as a marketing and brand-building platform.

“It’s another strong endorsement of V8 Supercars for Woodstock to expand their involvement in the sport and become the event naming rights sponsor of the Woodstock Winton SuperSprint,” he said.

“Woodstock will bring their unique personality to Winton Raceway, and really is the perfect fit for this iconic event in regional Victoria."

Woodstock will create the Woodstock Garden Bar at Winton Motor Raceway for fans to enjoy an ice cold Woodstock, and take in performances from local band SMAC and The Pigs. The Woodstock Babes and Woodstock Ute will feature at the event.

Operations Manager at Winton Raceway Wayne Williams is equally excited about having Woodstock on board as the naming rights sponsor.

“We had made plans to improve our merchandise alley, incorporating a food court and bar. This area will now be the Woodstock Garden Bar, and will be the centre of entertainment at the track,” Williams said.

“With the newly resurfaced circuit, the Woodstock Winton SuperSprint will be a fantastic event on and off track.”

The Woodstock Winton SuperSprint will be held at Winton Motor Raceway across the weekend of May 20-22.
