Walkinshaw Andretti United team principal Bruce Stewart says the team is "right behind" Bryce Fullwood ahead of his sophomore Supercars season.

On Wednesday, WAU revealed the 2021 livery for Fullwood's #2 entry, which features Middy's Electrical backing for the second year running.

Darwin native Fullwood made his main game debut last season, and finished 13 spots down on team-mate Chaz Mostert in 18th overall.

Fullwood showed glimpses of speed in 2020, highlighted by a remarkable podium at The Bend.

He recorded just three other top 10 finishes, but the team rewarded his application with a contract extension.

Stewart, who recently told Supercars.com that Fullwood had been been integral in improving the team's culture, was keen to see the driver improve in 2021.

"We look forward to an exciting year with Bryce, where he can continue his momentum and Supercar development," Stewart said.

"This young man has genuine speed.

"We're right behind him in converting that speed into heightened results."

Mostert recently said he expects WAU to "come out swinging" in 2021 after a solid season last year.

Having the support of many returning and new partners in 2021, Stewart was excited to see all parties support WAU on its journey back to the top.

"It's great to get the Mobil 1 Middy's Racing car out there for everyone to see, we love the way it looks, even standing still," Stewart said.

"To have so many returning partners back with us for another year is reflective of their support and loyalty, and we can't thank them enough.

"It's also amazing to be able to welcome six new partners to our team and business this year, who will all play a part in our journey; we welcome them with open arms to our family."

Fullwood will debut the new livery at a rookie day at Winton on Wednesday before next month's Repco Mt Panorama 500. Tickets are on sale now.
