The 2020 season featured some on-track brilliance, with Supercars' best putting on thrilling overtaking displays.

Some moves helped drivers clinch victory, while others came from nowhere in tight midfield battles.

As the countdown continues to the 2021 Repco Supercars Championship, has listed the top 10 overtakes of last season.

Sydney, Race 7: SVG fires past Whincup

Although Shane van Gisbergen missed out on the win to Scott McLaughlin, his charge to second on fresh tyres featured a calculated pass at Turn 4 on team-mate Jamie Whincup upon the return to racing in Sydney.

Sydney, Race 8: Percat on Whincup for the lead

With 11 laps remaining in Race 8, Nick Percat enacted the same treatment on the same driver, this time for the lead of the race as the Brad Jones Racing driver muscled his way to a first win in over four years.

Darwin, Race 16: Mostert takes Frosty

Battling over 10th place, former Tickford team-mates Mark Winterbottom and Chaz Mostert went side-by-side through Turns 2 to 5, before Mostert emerged ahead into the valley hairpin.

Townsville, Race 19: Waters on Mostert

Late in Race 19, Cameron Waters was on a tear and set up former team-mate Chaz Mostert exiting Turn 8. The Monster Energy Mustang loomed large in Mostert's mirrors through the Turn 10 kink before completing the move for second place into the slow-speed Turn 11.

Townsville, Race 20: SVG passes De Pasquale

A rampant Shane van Gisbergen mirrored Cameron Waters' efforts on Anton De Pasquale a day later, muscling his way into eighth with 13 laps remaining.

Townsville, Race 24: Bulls double on Hazelwood

Todd Hazelwood's maiden pole was a story in itself, but his charge for the podium was ended seven laps from home when Shane van Gisbergen followed through team-mate Jamie Whincup, with the Red Bull duo later scything past Scott McLaughlin for a one-two finish.

The Bend, Race 25: Le Brocq dives on Coulthard

Fabian Coulthard may have beaten Jack Le Brocq to the win in Race 25, which listed as the best race of 2020. However, the Tickford driver's incredible divebomb on the #12 with three laps remaining was a pearler.

The Bend, Race 26: Andre gets two for one

With Chaz Mostert and Scott McLaughlin squabbling ahead, Andre Heimgartner was keen to get a move on. That he did, completing a daring two-for-one pass en route to the podium.

The Bend, Race 30: SVG overtakes Hazelwood

Last of the late brakers, Shane van Gisbergen's charge from 22nd to fifth at The Bend was headlined by a brilliant move on Todd Hazelwood for sixth just eight laps from home.

Bathurst, Race 31: SVG steals lead from Davison

With rain beginning to fall on the mountain, Shane van Gisbergen proved his race-winning edge with a smooth pass on Will Davison for the race lead at Turn 1 on lap 56.
