Tickford Racing's return to a four-car operation in 2022 will also feature changes to car numbers.

Earlier this year, Tickford announced it would compete as a three-car squad in 2021.

The Ford team confirmed in June that it will revert back to four cars in 2022 after the successful acquisition of a Racing Entitlements Contract (REC).

The team's three 2021 drivers - Jack Le Brocq, Cameron Waters and James Courtney - currently run the #5, #6 and #44 numbers respectively.

Waters has yet to ink his new deal, but it largely expected to remain with the team for at least a seventh straight full-time season.

Courtney, who joined the team in 2020, will assume the team's title-winning #5 for the 2022 season.

The 2010 series champion has campaigned with the #44 since his Tickford debut midway through the 2020 season.

New-for-2022 recruits Thomas Randle and Jake Kostecki will campaign with the #55 and #56 respectively, marking the full-time returns of both numbers.

Tickford benched the #55 from full-time service in 2021, but Randle's Castrol wildcard entry ran under the #55 in Tailem Bend and Darwin.

Tickford previously ran the #56 in 2017 for Jason Bright and 2018 for Richie Stanaway.

The #56 will feature on the grid for the first time since the Kostecki wildcard entry used it for the 2019 enduros.

Tickford CEO and Team Principal Tim Edwards hinted cars #5 and #6 will be back sharing a pit bay, with Randle and Kostecki to share the team's second pit bay.

"It gives us a really good mix of youth and experience," Edwards said of his 2022 driver line-up.

"We've got a mix of old dogs and young pups.

Randle will retain the #55 for his first full-time season

"It's hard to believe we're talking about Cam as a seasoned veteran of the sport, given he's only six or seven years into being a full-time driver.

"[Courtney's] a very stable set of hands, and I think he's going to be a real asset to the team moving into Gen3.

"And even though Thomas has been racing a long time, this'll be his first full-time [season].

"We've got [Jake] there who's young, keen to learn, and we can mould and teach along the way."

Tickford will join its rivals at Sydney Motorsport Park at the Bunnings Trade Sydney SuperNight from October 29.

Tickets for all four upcoming Sydney events are on sale now.
