PremiAir Racing has secured a long-time Triple Eight Race Engineering stalwart as its new Team Principal.

Matt Cook has joined Supercars' newest squad in a leadership role.

Cook most recently headed up Triple Eight's Super2 program.

He previously acted as a lead mechanic on Shane van Gisbergen's #97 Commodore.

Cook becomes the second high-profile departure from Triple Eight to take up a team principal role.

Decorated mechanic David Cauchi joined Grove Racing in the off-season.

"PremiAir Racing welcomes the highly experienced, Matt Cook to the team as our new Team Principal," PremiAir Racing said in a short statement.
