Supercheap Auto Club Plus members were recentlyrewarded with money can't buy V8 Supercars experiences at the Phillip Island event.

Fans making winning purchases at their local Supercheap Auto stores recently won trips of a lifetime to the spectacular seaside circuit, with a package including two flights, accommodation, transfers, grandstand tickets, pit tour, meet and green withdriver Tim Slade, grid walk and hot laps.

Sydneysider Hardik Patel stood on the grid over race weekend amazed that a simple spark plug purchase was all it took to make a long-time V8 Supercar fan's dreams come true.

"It's been an amazing experience," Patel said."The hair stands up on the back of your neck when you see and hear these V8 Supercars racing. I feel like I want to get in to Tim's Supercheap Auto Commodore and race myself."

The Sydney resident, who shops at Supercheap Auto's Wentworthville store and has been a Club Plus member for over 18 months, is a mechanic by trade - and a month ago decided to change the spark plugs on his Holden Barina.

"I went to the Supercheap Auto store near my house, and they advised me which spark plugs were the right ones for my 1.6-litre Barina," Patel said.

"All I did was buy a Bosch spark plug and use my Club card, and two weeks ago I got a call from Supercheap Auto, who said I was the major prize winner."

For Tim Hearn, from Cloncurry in Queensland's north-west, it was his kids bothering him for Energizer batteries that secured the awesome opportunity.

Naturally, Hearn, accompanied by friend Geoff, was impressed by his first trip to the world-renowned Phillip Island Grand Prix circuit.

"It's an incredible setup here - not just the fast, and flowing nature of the track; but also the quality of the facilities. We were very lucky with the weather as well, with plenty of sunshine throughout the weekend.

"Of course, when the V8 Supercars start up you get goosebumps."

The Supercheap Auto Commodore's best result of 2014 came last month at the Gold Coast 600, with Slade finishing on the podium in Saturday's race.
