Robbie Williams to headline 2023 VALO Adelaide 500

Robbie Williams has been announced as the headlining act at the VALO Adelaide 500 after-race concert.

The 2023 VALO Adelaide 500 will be held on November 23-26 2023.

The global pop sensation will perform after the Sunday race on November 26.

2023 general admission tickets will be on sale from Tuesday December 9 (9:00am ACST) until midnight December 31 at 2022 prices.

Williams will be a much-anticipated highlight of the 2023 Repco Supercars Championship season finale event in Adelaide.

The Briton is one of the finest male pop stars of his generation, having sold over 85 million albums.

His 14 UK number one albums are the most for any solo artist, equalled only by Elvis Presley.

He has also had 14 number one singles as a solo artist.

Williams' new album XXV was released earlier this year, and celebrates twenty-five years as a solo artist.

The songs of XXV offer a new perspective, having been newly orchestrated by Jules Buckley, Guy Chambers and Steve Sidwell, and re-recorded with the acclaimed Metropole Orkest in the Netherlands.

Williams recently headlined the entertainment at the 2022 AFL Grand Final.

"Australia is one of my favourite places in the world to tour; I feel so at home there and hugely appreciate the warm, loving welcome I always receive," Williams said.

"I can’t wait to be back in Adelaide to perform at the VALO Adelaide 500 in 2023 and spend some time with my fans."

The 2022 VALO Adelaide 500 was watched by an estimated 258,200 fans, an increase on the predicted 250,000.

Three nights of the 2022 event featured major acts, from the likes of US rock royalty The Killers, to homegrown stars Lime Cordiale, Jimmy Barnes and Amy Shark.

The 2023 event looms to be bigger and better, with South Australian Premier Peter Malinauskas delighted to enhance the Adelaide 500's reputation as one of Australia’s pre-eminent entertainment festivals renowned for its race and rock format.

"We made a commitment to not only bring back the great race that is the VALO Adelaide 500 but, also, make it an event which will bring our events sector roaring back to life,” Malinauskas said.

“And we have done this in securing one of the world’s best entertainers to celebrate the 2023 VALO Adelaide 500 with Robbie Williams performing at the event."

The 2023 Repco Supercars Championship will commence in Newcastle next March.
