Pye's latest business venture move

An expansion into Sydney and the hiring of a decorated director is part of Scott Pye’s media and production agency expansion.

Pye’s agency, One Nine Media, was launched in 2018.

Four years on, the Team 18 driver has clients of the likes of Porsche Cars Australia, Mazda Australia and Supercars team Erebus Motorsport.

It was announced Thursday that Pye has appointed award-winning director and producer Tony Gardiner ACS.

It comes as One Nine Media expands its work to Sydney, with a focus on diversifying and growing the business.

"It’s an exciting time at One Nine Media and I couldn’t be happier to be welcoming Tony Gardiner to the team,” Pye said.

"His experience and expertise will give us the ability to take that next step, increasing the quality of production and giving us the ability to take on larger projects.

"Tony has proven that he is amongst the best that the industry has to offer and brings with him a wealth of knowledge to our already great team.

"With Tony joining the team we are looking to consolidate our position and grow the business into TVC, documentary and scripted drama work.

"We have some exciting projects that are in different stages of development, and we look forward to sharing them with the public in due course.”

An ACS accredited and award-winning cinematographer and ADG nominated director, Gardiner has worked across documentary scripted drama and TVC.

Notably, he was Creative Director on Fremantle Media's ‘Neighbours' and Director on Channel Seven's 'Home and Away’.

He also won multiple awards for his work on television commercials for brands such as Mastercard, ESPN, Rebel Sport and Myer.

"Storytelling is the heart of everything we do at One Nine,” said Gardiner,

"Whether it is social media content, TVC, documentary or scripted drama, we want to tell engaging stories.

"Scott has such a passion for good storytelling and that is why we work so well together; this is a really exciting opportunity to grow One Nine.”

Pye will head to this month’s NED Whisky Tasmania SuperSprint 24th in the standings.
