Fans will be brought even closer to the action at the Bosch Power Tools Perth SuperSprint, with the podium celebrations taken to a new position.

The podium celebrations at this weekend’s Perth event will be held on the pit roof.

Fans can access the pit roof with a Paddock Pass ticket.

Perth podiums were previously conducted on ground level on the circuit.

David Tunnicliffe, Head of Broadcast, said the initiative was part of Supercars’ efforts to get fans even closer to the drivers.

“We will be moving our podium presentations to the pit building roof at the Bosch Power Tools Perth SuperSprint,” Tunnicliffe said.

"This change is part of our ongoing efforts to bring our fans closer to the drivers and their celebrations as best we can at our events.

"Fans will be able to witness the celebrations up close, and feel like they are a part of the action.

"This new set-up also provides a great vantage point for fans to capture photos and videos of their favourite drivers as they celebrate their victories.”

Supercars drivers will vie for victory in three 42-lap sprint races at CARCO.com.au Raceway.

The action will commence in Perth on Friday, with a 90-minute practice session commencing at 2:25pm local time.

Tickets for this weekend’s Bosch Power Tools Perth SuperSprint are on sale on Supercars.com and Ticketek.com.
