Golding keen to build on impressive 2022

James Golding’s first full season with PremiAir Racing will come with naming rights backing from Nulon Products Australia.

PremiAir Racing released Golding's new-look Gen3 Camaro, complete with Nulon backing, on Friday.

The lubricants company will back the #31 Nulon Racing entry for the 2023 Repco Supercars Championship season.

The new-look #31 is predominately black, with Nulon’s trademark white and red featuring throughout.

Golding joined the team midway through 2022, and is now set for his first full season since 2019.

The Victorian impressed in his half-season, notably recording a number of top 10 finishes and Shootout appearances.

“What a perfect time to have a company like Nulon onboard. They will greatly support our development of the new Gen3 cars performance,” Golding said.

"I am excited to be carrying the colours of this great brand in 2023. With my background as a qualified mechanic, I appreciate the quality of their products.

"I look forward to sharing our success with Nulon and all our other fantastic supporters.”

The team will release Tim Slade’s 2023 look in due course, Slade joining PremiAir Racing from Blanchard Racing Team.

Tom Murray, Nulon Products Australia Channel Marketing Manager, was keen to see the brand represented in Supercars' new era.

“Nulon is delighted to partner with PremiAir Racing in 2023 for its first full season as naming rights partner," Murray said.

"2023 heralds a new and exciting era in Australian motorsport with the introduction of the Gen3 Supercars, and the new Nulon/PremiAir Racing partnership aligns nicely with the category's evolution.

"In PremiAir Racing we believe we’ve found a dynamic, ambitious partner that mirrors our desire to push the boundaries.

"We’re excited to see what James Golding can do in the Nulon Racing Camaro on the streets of Newcastle in a few weeks”.

PremiAir Racing Team Owner Peter Xiberras added: "Nulon Racing Oil is fast becoming a first choice with professional motorsport teams around Australia, and we are proud to partner with such a leading company.

“At PremiAir Racing, we are continually working to push the boundaries and innovate, and this is what Nulon is all about, so I think the values of our two organisations align perfectly.”

There are four more livery reveals left — Slade’s car, the Red Bull Ampol Racing livery, Cam Waters’ #6 colours and Declan Fraser’s TRADIE Ford.

All 25 Gen3 cars will share the track for the first time at the Wednesday 22 February Sydney Motorsport Park test.

The 2023 Repco Supercars Championship will commence at the Thrifty Newcastle 500 on March 10-12.

Tickets are on sale on Supercars.com and Ticketek.com.
