Allan Moffat is a legend of Bathurst and, for the first time, the cars he raced in ‘The Great Race’ at Mount Panorama are being celebrated in a limited edition collector’s print.

The print features all of Moffat’s Bathurst cars, including his race-winning Ford Falcons from 1970, 1971, 1973 and 1977.

The A1-sized (841 x 594mm) piece is printed offset on 250gsm Matte paper stock, individually numbered and offered in a limited edition.

Officially endorsed by Allan Moffat Racing, the print is the work of long-time automotive artist Peter Hughes and is now available to pre-order here.

There are two cars depicting 1980 thanks to Moffat’s in-race switch from his own entry to Bob Morris’ Channel 7 Breville Racing Falcon XD.

The print

Moffat’s rotary Mazda RX-7s, the Mobil Holden Commodore he shared with Peter Brock in 1986 and the ANZ Ford Sierras in which he finished his career make for a diverse array of machinery.

Moffat, who is now 82, claimed four Bathurst ‘Great Race’ poles in 1970, 1971, 1972 and 1976.

He and Peter Brock are the only drivers in the history of the race to take three pole positions for the race in a row.

This year’s Repco Bathurst 1000 will be held on October 6-9 at Mount Panorama.

Moffat’s son James finished runner-up in last year’s race with Cam Waters and will return to co-drive the Monster Mustang with the Tickford Racing spearhead in this year’s race.

Tickets for the Repco Bathurst 1000 are available on Supercars.com and Ticketek.
