Perth-born drivers Brodie Kostecki and Jake Kostecki have returned to their home state this week.

The Kostecki duo reunited with family as they helped promote the upcoming Bunnings Trade Perth SuperNight.

On Thursday, the cousins took in one of Perth’s newest attractions, the Matagarup Zip and Climb.

It comes as Supercars prepares for its first event at Wanneroo Raceway since 2019.

It marks nearly three years since the Kosteckis last visited Western Australia, and elder cousin Brodie is keen to race in front of his loved ones.

“It’s really great to be back here at home, I haven't been able to come back here,” the Erebus driver said.

“It's been three years since I've touched down here in Perth.

"It's going to be fantastic that Supercars are coming back to Western Australia and to be racing back here in Perth.

“I’m looking forward to seeing all the people sitting on the hill again.

“I've got so much family here and like everyone else has been trying to make use of FaceTime and whatnot.

“It's just going to be great to be racing back here in Perth, and to have all my family there.”

Brodie and Jake, along with the latter's older brother Kurt, grew up in Perth and claimed state karting titles.

Brodie moved overseas to pursue stock car racing before he returned to Australia.

Now both full-time Supercars drivers, Tickford driver Jake admits they are more competitive than ever.

“Everything is a race between me and Brodie,” the 22-year-old said.

“I'll get the faster zip line and the faster cables here today and down I’ll go.”

Brodie Kostecki currently sits fifth in the 2022 standings after the opening two rounds.

Defending champion Shane van Gisbergen leads by 67 points from Anton De Pasquale.

Drivers will be on track next weekend at the Beaurepaires Melbourne 400.

Tickets for the Bunnings Trade Perth SuperNight are now available through Supercars.com and Ticketek.
