The latest instalment of the Inside Line – A Season with Triple Eight will delve into the events of the 2019 Bathurst 1000.

The third episode of the highly anticipated series focuses on Triple Eight’s rivals, documenting the controversial 2006 season finale at Phillip Island, losing the 2010 championship to James Courtney in Sydney, as well as Shane van Gisbergen and Garth Tander’s second place in the Great Race in 2019.

Viewers will be given Roland Dane’s perspective of Fabian Coulthard’s slowdown under Safety Car on lap 134 of 161.

Dane recounts his never-before-seen reaction of Coulthard slowing dramatically after being told over the team radio there was "debris" on the circuit.

Inside Line: Battles within Triple Eight

A post-race investigation led to the Shell V-Power Racing Team being hit with a team orders rule breach charge.

The episode features interviews with retiring Triple Eight Managing Director and Team Principal Dane, as well as drivers van Gisbergen and Jamie Whincup.

An exclusive interview with seven-time Bathurst winner Craig Lowndes details the events of the 2006 Phillip Island finale, and his clash with title winner Rick Kelly.

Episode three of the seven-part series will premiere on Fox Sports 506 and Kayo on Wednesday.

The one-hour episode will air on Fox Sports (Channel 506) at 7:30pm AEST.

An episode of the docuseries will screen every Wednesday night at 7:30pm AEST until the week of the Repco Bathurst 1000.

Exclusive: Lowndes on the race that lost him the 2006 title [Outside Line]

There, the final two episodes will screen back-to-back.

In a first for international fans, the latest Inside Line episode can be viewed each week on SuperView from 7:30pm AEST each Friday.
