Today marks 30 days out from Tasmania’s largest annual sporting event. For the first time since 1998, Tasmanian V8 Supercar fans have the chance to drive in, park up and settle in at the famous hairpin and watch all the action unfold from the comfort of their own cars.

In a bid to give race goers even more viewing options, fans have the chance to secure limited parking places from halfway up the front straight to the hairpin for one, two or three days at one of the categories quickest circuits.

Prices start from just $10 dollars a day per car for the Friday, $25 on Saturday or Sunday or just $50 for three full days of action.

V8 Supercars Director – Promoted Events Mark Perry said it was a fantastic opportunity for fans to get close to the action in an ideal setting that is close to all amenities.

“This is how motor racing fans used to watch the V8 Supercars here at Symmons Plains and they still do today in other race meetings," Perry said.

“It’s a great way to have unobstructed viewing in the comfort of their own cars, but places are strictly limited so people will have to move fast as tickets go on sale as of today."

In a further coup for fans, due to popular demand, the grandstand will be erected near turn two for next month’s V8 Supercars Tyrepower Tasmania 400.

But V8 Supercars is quick to point out that again, spaces are limited with tickets to go on sale to the general public from Saturday.

"The grandstand always provides one of the best seats trackside, as well as comfort for racegoers with shade and of course optimal viewing of the action," Perry said.

Grandstand tickets start from $170 or you can upgrade trackside passes from only $100 – click here for Ticketek which includes the Park & View option.
