The last-start Merlin Darwin Triple Crown saw Brad Jones Racing extend its PIRTEK Pit Stop Challenge lead.

BJR stretched its legs in the lead at the last event in Darwin, having arrived with a buffer after another standout performance at The Bend.

With the BP Ultimate Safety Car deployed in the Merlin Darwin Triple Crown opener, only Races 13 and 14 contributed to the PIRTEK Pit Stop Challenge point score at Hidden Valley.

It did little to slow BJR, with the crew on Nick Percat’s car picking up top points in Races 13 and 14. It came after Percat sailed to the Race 12 podium.

There was, however, a slight change within the top four positions, with Red Bull Ampol Racing moving up into third position.

The Triple Eight squad overtook Walkinshaw Andretti United, which dropped to fourth.

Shell V-Power Racing Team remained second overall.

Tickford Racing’s crew on the Cameron Waters and James Courtney entries closed the gap to WAU after picking up 11 points in Races 13 and 14.

The Ford squad had a solid weekend, with the second Tickford crew closing the gap on eighth and ninth positions.

This weekend's NTI Townsville 500 is not included in the challenge; teams can only accumulate points in sprint races.

The 2021 Repco Supercars Championship season will resume this weekend at the NTI Townsville 500. Tickets are available here.

The event will be broadcast live on Foxtel and will be streamed on Kayo, and will be broadcast live and free on Seven.
