Despite missing out on the 2024 Repco Supercars Championship, Broc Feeney was “proud” to end the season in top form, setting up a 2025 title push.

Feeney finished second behind Triple Eight Race Engineering teammate Will Brown after a blockbuster season, with the two sharing 11 of the 24 wins.

Brown sealed the championship with a race to spare, despite Feeney dominating Saturday’s VAILO Adelaide 500 opener.

Come Sunday, and Feeney powered to pole position in the Boost Mobile Top Ten Shootout. Feeney’s reaction in the car when he crossed the line was telling, the 22-year-old exclaiming in the cockpit with a fist pumps as he made another big statement.

Ultimately, he came up short again after tipping Chaz Mostert out of the lead, leading to an apology and another penalty.

All told, Feeney — who lost crucial ground to Brown in the middle of the season — was happy to finish off 2024 strongly, after five straight podiums at Sandown, Bathurst, Gold Coast and Adelaide.

"Looking at the positives, it puts us in a good place for the Finals Series next year,” he said.

"Looking back at the year, I’m happy with my results; six wins and a handful of poles. My goal was to win the championship and we fell short of that, but it’s been a great year.

"We’ve had ups and down, but I’m most proud of the last four or five rounds. It’s great momentum going into next year.”

Feeney lamented his tangle with Mostert, reiterating it wasn't his intention to spin his Ford rival out. Feeney crossed the line first, but was reclassified seventh.

"We thought we would come out in the lead after our pit stop, but we nicked Chaz and copped a 15-second penalty,” he said.

"From there, I had heaps of speed in the last stint. I knew Chaz had been told to let me through and I showed my nose in a couple of spots but unfortunately we came together.

"I went and apologised to him after that race – it certainly wasn’t my intention. I’m upset that I ruined someone else’s race, but I’m really happy with the team’s performance – we were so fast."
