It’s time for Thrill in the Ville! The NTI Townsville 500 brings three days of unbeatable racing, the Palmer Street Party, PBR Australia Touring Pro Division, Summernats Goes Troppo; and debuting at Townsville are the wildcard entries of Reuben Goodall and Aaron Seton.
Here’s all you need to know.
1. Palmer Street Party

The Palmer Street Party is back for another year and it kicks off on Thursday 9th July from 3:30pm. This FREE event will showcase the Track to Town event where all 26 Supercars, plus a variety of support vehicles will make their way from the circuit into town from 4:15pm to 4:25pm.
Then from 4:30pm to 5:20pm, fans will be able to snag a selfie and an autograph with their favourite drivers at a Driver’s Signing Session. There will be also exclusive giveaways and a mechanical bull.
Finally at 5:25pm, the convoy hits the road as it returns to the Reid Park Circuit.
2. NTI Transporter Parade

The NTI Transporter Parade will return to the streets of Townsville on Wednesday 8th July from 11:45am to 12:30pm, taking in the scenic spots below Castle Hill, before venturing into the heart of the CBD!
In addition to the transporter parade, a dedicated Fan Zone will be established at the Townsville sign in Central Park near Palmer Street with hand waver flags for all, and giveaways up for grabs.
3. Pro Bull Riding & Tori Darke

PBR returns to the NTI Townsville 500 with the Australia Pro Touring Division from 5:00pm on Saturday 11th July. The Saturday night showdown will deliver heart-stopping action from Australia's best riders and bulls as they compete for the top prize.
Known for her powerful vocals, meaningful lyrics, and captivating stage presence, country music artist Tori Darke will also be performing at PBR across the evening.
Any Saturday ticket holder will be able to attend.
4. Summernats Goes Troppo

Fast and loud! Summernats Goes Troppo is back at Supercars for 2026! The Summernats Pro Burnout Series Skid Pad sees more than 30 burnout beasts and drift cars smoking it up in adrenaline-fuelled shows each day, and the Summernats Goes Troppo will form part of the qualifying rounds for the 2027 Grand Final in Canberra.
In addition to a full three competition, there will be displays and driver signing sessions across the weekend.
5. Signing Sessions

Snag an autograph and a selfie with your favourite Supercars drivers with two signing sessions happening across the weekend. The first will be on Friday 10th July from 2:15pm to 2:35pm in Merch Alley, and the second session will take place in the Supercars Paddock* on Saturday 11th July from 9:45am to 10:15am.

6. What’s On in Townsville
In addition to the Palmer Street Party, NTI Transporter Parade, PBR, Summernats - there’s plenty more to see and do whilst at the NTI Townsville 500.

If you want more burnouts, more speed, more smoke (and the correct answer is yes to all three)…there will be displays and demonstrations from Street Machine, Castlemaine Rod Shop and Burnout Team Slammer, on track throughout the day and also appearing in the Summernats Goes Troppo area.

For kids, the Hot Wheels Kids Zone returns to the 2026 NTI Townsville 500 at the Civic Centre, offering family-friendly fun in a shaded central location. Kids can race on the Inflatable Racetrack, test speed and reactions in the Fast Fan Challenge, and tackle tyre-changing games, while parents relax nearby.

If adrenaline is what you’re after, FMX High Air Show delivers heart-stopping action as X-Games gold medallist Corey Creed and two elite riders launch off massive ramps, battling for the highest air. Featuring the world’s only quarter-pipe landing airbag system, next-generation FMX technology, pumping music, and crowd-powered judging.

Finally, our friends at the Australian Defence Force and Team Army will have their interactive display of mobility vehicles, weapons displays, Project Digger and Armageddon (burnout vehicles producing 700hp and 600hp+ respectively), as well as Defence Force stands and team members to learn about the ADF does and recruitment opportunities.
7. Support Categories

There are four support categories at the NTI Townsville 500 in 2026: Porsche Michelin Sprint Challenge, Toyota GR Cup, Battery World Aussie Racing Cars and Touring Car Masters. 8. Plan Your Visit to Townsville

9. Track Schedule

The NTI Townsville 500 will comprise of three days worth of racing. It all begins on Friday 10th July at 10:35am AEST with the only Practice session of the weekend. At 12:45pm, drivers gear up for the two-part Boost Mobile Qualifying which will determine the order for the afternoon’s shorter 100km race. Then at 4:15pm, the Supercars fire up for Race 20: 35 laps of the Reid Park Circuit.
On Saturday, Supercars sessions kick off from 11:25am (AEST) for Boost Mobile Qualifying in two parts, which will set positions 11-26 and the Top 10 that will proceed into Boost Mobile Top Ten Shootout, which will take place afterwards at 12:10pm. Then at 3:05pm, Supercars hits the streets for the 200km (68 laps) Race 21.
Sunday will follow the same times and structure as on Saturday. Boost Mobile Qualifying will commence at 11:25am (AEST), and the Top 10 will advance through to the Boost Mobile Top Ten Shootout at 12:10pm. Finally at 3:05pm, the finale race at Townsville will begin, Race 22 - 200km (68 laps).

13. How to get to the event

Public transport is the BEST option for getting to/from the event across the weekend.
Public bus routes will operate as scheduled. Click here to visit Translink to plan your trip and for more information.
The closest bus stop is: Flinders St at Fletcher Street, Townsville City, which is a 500 metre walk to Gate 1.
If you are taking a taxi or a ride share service, please direct them to drop off and pick up from Flinders Street for Gate 1; and First Street for Gate 2.

Finally if you are travelling by car please note street parking near the event precinct is not recommended as there will be changed traffic and parking conditions. Free parking is available at Dean Street Car Park, which is approximately 1.5km walk to the event precinct (closest access via Gate 1).
For paid parking options, event goers have the option of parking at Townsville High School or PriPark - 26 First Avenue. It is highly recommended you pre-book parking.
Note: the Flinders Street East Car Park and the Sturt Street Car Park will be closed and restricted only to emergency services.
