Todd Hazelwood's move to Dick Johnson Racing has shed further light on the 2025 enduro grids

Todd Hazelwood's move to Dick Johnson Racing has shed further light on the make-up of enduro pairings that will tackle the longest races in the 2025 Repco Supercars Championship.

Hazelwood will join DJR-bound Brodie Kostecki next season, reuniting the duo that dominated the 2024 edition of the Great Race.

While one of few pairings formally announced, the Kostecki/Hazelwood combination looms as one of several race win-contending partnerships for next year's enduros at The Bend Motorsport Park and Mount Panorama.

Who’s locked in

Of drivers officially announced for 2025, Hazelwood joins Scott Pye, Mark Winterbottom, Garth Tander and David Russell.

Pye will enter his second year of his deal with Triple Eight Race Engineering, and is set to return alongside champion Will Brown. The duo won the Penrite Oil Sandown 500, and finished third in the Repco Bathurst 1000.

Brown/Pye and Kostecki/Hazelwood are two of three confirmed returning combinations for 2024, alongside Russell and James Golding. PremiAir Nulon Racing struck gold with Golding/Russell, who finished third at Sandown and sixth in Bathurst.

That leaves Winterbottom and Tander. Tander recently signed a contract extension with Penrite Racing, and is likely to return alongside Matt Payne. Winterbottom, meanwhile, will link up with Cam Waters in a powerful Tickford Racing partnership.

What’s next?

There's still plenty to play out, given just five of 24 full-time co-drivers have been officially announced.

Amid the Winterbottom news, James Moffat will shift alongside Thomas Randle at Tickford, while Jamie Whincup is set to go around for a fourth time with Broc Feeney at Triple Eight.

With Kai Allen joining Penrite Racing full-time, Will Davison is set to be partnered by Tony D'Alberto in the second DJR entry. Dale Wood, who was a last-minute substitute for Richie Stanaway in Adelaide, is also set to return to Penrite Racing in 2025.

Hazelwood, meanwhile, leaves at least one vacancy at Erebus Motorsport, but recent reports of Jayden Ojeda's shift to Walkinshaw Andretti United would force a double change. Erebus has, however, already flagged it will hand debuts to Academy rising stars Jobe Stewart and Jarrod Hughes.

Ojeda and incumbent Fabian Coulthard have been tipped to complete WAU's line-up, with 2021 Bathurst winner Lee Holdsworth linked to Team 18, where he raced full-time between 2015 and 2016.

The recently retired Tim Slade, meanwhile, has also been linked to a move to Matt Stone Racing alongside Nick Percat. MSR has already flagged plans to enter a wildcard in 2025, which could see incumbents Dylan O'Keefe and Cameron Crick reshuffled.

That leaves the four Brad Jones Racing entries, seats at Team 18 and PremiAir Nulon Racing, and both Blanchard Racing Team drives. Declan Fraser impressed alongside Andre Heimgartner at BJR, which also had Jaylyn Robotham, Jordan Boys and Dean Fiore on its books.

WAU loaned Warren Luff out to Team 18 for a second season, Cameron McLeod made his debut for PremiAir, while Jack Perkins and Aaron Cameron raced for BRT. McLeod has already confirmed he will continue his "domestic Supercar program" in 2025, while Cameron could also prove hot property following his solid enduro performances and title-contending Super2 campaign.
